Job Description We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with strong DevOps and cloud platform expertise to design, build, deploy, and operate scalable cloud-native services and the engineering infrastructure that supports them. You will work primarily with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code , taking ownership of solutions from development through production operations. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, DevOps and engineering teams to improve platform reliability, deployment velocity, operational maturity and developer experience. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both building production software and improving how that software is delivered and operated at scale . This role is based in Toronto and follows a hybrid working model with three days onsite per week . Key Responsibilities Design, build, test and support scalable backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, AWS and PostgreSQL , with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability. Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and release workflows , including automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, deployment, rollback and environment promotion. Design and automate secure, repeatable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code , while supporting containerized and cloud-native deployment patterns across AWS environments.
