Description

We are seeking a Senior WordPress Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of a delivery framework for migrating various websites to WordPress (Gutenberg). As a team leader, you will blend design and programming disciplines to implement migrations, enhance features, and maintain multiple custom frameworks, ensuring application accessibility and performance. You will closely interface with existing teams to optimize site applications. Cultural Fit: Excellent written and oral communication skills with a passion for sharing knowledge. Collaborative partner with a high priority on internal customer service. Capable of meeting daily deadlines. Responsibilities Contribute to “scope of build” discussions with development team, project managers, designers, and other developers. Integrate with third-party APIs and customize WordPress to support specific functionality. Support current client websites. Document plugins, new code, theme, and plugin modifications. Enhance personal and team expertise through training, exploration, and prospecting. Produce new user-facing features. Build reusable code and libraries. Optimize applications for performance and scalability. Deliver functional, testable code on or before due dates. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders using Agile methodologies.
