Platform Owner POSITION SUMMARY This role is charged with named, end-to-end accountability for one or more of Speedcast's strategic TechOps platforms. The Platform Owner is the platform's highest technical authority, responsible for availability, performance, security, cost, and service quality on the platform. Speedcast is the world's trusted partner for edge compute solutions and critical remote connectivity, enabling operations across the most demanding environments on Earth. We connect vessels, offshore platforms, mining sites, and enterprise customers in places where connectivity is not a convenience. It is an operational necessity. Day to day, this means executing a disciplined operating cadence, owning the primary vendor relationship, and working across Product Management, Solutions Engineering, and support teams to keep the platform operating and evolving effectively. The Platform Owner co-signs roadmap commitments, defines standard deployment designs, ensures operational readiness at scale, and builds the runbook library and knowledge transfer that allow Tier 1/2 teams to operate the platform sustainably. This is a senior individual contributor role and the primary growth track for engineers who want to move from execution into ownership, cross-functional leadership, and vendor and customer engagement, without moving into people management.
